During our recent stay at Papendal, I found it to be an intriguing blend of sporty ambiance and natural serenity. Nestled in a lovely forested area just outside Arnhem, the location was peaceful, perfect for a short escape from busy city life. While we didn't have time to explore the robust sports facilities, the wellness centre caught my eye. It features soothing spa therapy options, a sauna, and a steam room that promise a relaxing experience. Our room was comfortable and sufficiently equipped, and I appreciated the well-maintained environment. Breakfast was a standout; the buffet was quite generous, making it a solid start to the day, though be prepared for a short trek from the rooms. Access to nature trails for biking was convenient, and we thoroughly enjoyed the nearby park, just a short ride away. The staff were agreeable and provided useful information, even helping us store our bags post-checkout. Papendal offers a solid choice for those looking to unwind while being active, and I can see why it attracts both foreign and local visitors.
